Choose body lotion when your target customer values easy spreading and a pumpable texture; choose a body butter when a richer jar-applied experience fits the brief. Compare real samples before deciding, because names alone do not guarantee feel or performance.

Match texture to the customer and climate

A daily-use lotion brief should specify the preferred afterfeel, fragrance and time before dressing. A body butter brief should specify richness, ease of pickup and spread. For warm climates, include storage and transport conditions in the supplier discussion. Test on the intended customer group using appropriate safety procedures; avoid claiming the product treats a skin condition.
