Shampoo and Conditioner

Private Label Collagen Keratin & Argan Moisture Set | Shampoo + Conditioner OEM

Private label collagen, keratin and argan shampoo and conditioner set for dry, frizzy and treated hair, designed for softness and detangling without heavy buildup.

A coordinated private-label cleansing and conditioning system for dry, frizzy, coarse, curly, color-treated or heat-styled hair. The concept combines familiar protein and oil stories with a modern goal: improved softness, slip and shine without unnecessarily heavy buildup.

Core Product Positioning

  • Moisture and manageability for dry or tangled hair
  • Protein-supported care for breakage-prone and chemically treated lengths
  • Argan-oil shine and nourishment story
  • Balanced cleansing for cleaner roots and conditioned lengths
  • Retail, salon and distributor size options
  • Coordinated fragrance, label and packaging development

Two-Step Formula Architecture

Step 1: Moisture-Balance Shampoo

The shampoo should remove scalp oil and product residue while maintaining a comfortable after-feel. Surfactant system, foam, viscosity and rinse profile can be evaluated for the target market. A sulfate-free direction may be considered when required, subject to the final formula and performance target.

Step 2: Detangling Conditioner

The conditioner focuses on wet-combing slip, softness, frizz control and smoother-feeling lengths. Conditioning agents, fatty alcohols, hydrolyzed proteins, humectants and argan oil can be balanced for fine, thick, straight, curly or coily hair.

Optional Weekly Mask

A richer mask can extend the range for salons or consumers with highly porous and damaged hair. It should be tested for rinseability and repeat-use residue rather than simply increasing oil and protein levels.

Ingredient and Claim Direction

Hydrolyzed collagen and keratin can support conditioning, film-forming and smoother-feeling hair positioning. Argan oil provides a familiar emollient and shine story. The exact INCI, ingredient levels and benefits depend on the approved formula.
Use cosmetic claims such as softer, smoother, more manageable, shinier or fuller-looking hair unless stronger claims are supported by suitable evidence. Avoid implying permanent reconstruction or treatment of medical hair loss.

Buyer Pain Points and OEM Solutions

  • Flat roots: separate root-cleansing and length-conditioning directions.
  • Heavy residue: optimize oil deposition, conditioning level and rinse profile.
  • Protein stiffness: balance hydrolyzed proteins with humectants and emollients.
  • Inconsistent pair: evaluate shampoo and conditioner together through repeated-use testing.
  • Unclear hair-type fit: define whether the line targets fine, thick, curly, coily or chemically treated hair.
  • Weak retail story: use coordinated packaging and one clear system benefit across the range.

Testing Priorities

Useful evaluations include wet combing, dry combing, softness, shine, residue, foam, rinse performance and breakage during grooming. Stability, microbiological quality and packaging compatibility should be completed with the final fragrance, color and packaging. Color-care, anti-frizz or heat-care claims require an appropriate test plan.

Packaging and Sizes

Common retail sizes include 250–500 ml bottles, while salons may prefer 1,000 ml backbar formats. Pumps or flip caps should match viscosity and use environment. An optional 200–300 ml mask or 50–150 ml leave-in product can extend the system.

MOQ, Samples and Production

MOQ starts from 100 pcs per SKU for selected stable formulas using in-stock bottles. Custom formulas, colors, fragrances, and packaging are quoted based on project requirements.
Coordinated custom formulas, bottle colors, printed cartons or destination-specific testing may require higher quantities. Typical production time is approximately 14–20 working days after formula, artwork and packaging approval.

Buyer FAQ

Can this set be adapted for curly or coily hair?

Yes. Conditioning strength, oil level, viscosity and optional leave-in support can be adjusted during sample development.

Can we make the shampoo sulfate-free?

A sulfate-free route can be evaluated using alternative surfactants while maintaining acceptable cleansing, foam and rinse performance.

Will the protein make hair stiff?

The protein type and level should be balanced with the complete conditioning system and tested on the intended hair profiles.

Can we add a matching mask?

Yes. A weekly mask can be developed in a retail jar or salon backbar size, subject to formula and packaging requirements.
